Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management: Handbook and Data for Economic Appraisal 2024
The 2024 Handbook produced by the Flood Hazard Research Centre is a companion volume to the 2013 Manual. It is a ‘step-by-step’ guide which allows the user to carry out economic appraisals for the majority of flood and coastal erosion risk management schemes. For more information, see the Handbook page.
You will find below the different types of licences that we offer. Please click on the appropriate Licence for your needs and follow the registration process. We provide an ‘EXAMPLE’ of an End User Licence Agreement (EULA) that will need to be completed, signed and returned before access to the MCM Online is granted. Please note that the highlighted sections will differ depending on the type of Licence that you choose.
Corporate
The Corporate Licence provides full access to all MCM-Online content for multiple users (up to a maximum of 20 users) within the same organisation. This licence can be used for commercial purposes by the licence holder(s) only and must not be shared with any other individual or organisation without the explicit consent of Middlesex University Ventures LTD.
Standard
The Standard Licence provides full access to all MCM-Online content for a single (one) user. This licence can be used for commercial purposes by the licence holder only and must not be shared with any other individual or organisation without the explicit consent of Middlesex University Ventures LTD.
Educational
The Educational Licence provides full access to all MCM-Online content for multiple users (up to a maximum of twenty users) within the same educational or charitable organisation. This licence must not be used for any form of commercial activity or be shared with any other non-affiliated individual or organisation without the explicit consent of Middlesex University Ventures LTD.
Local Authority (LA)/Internal Drainage Boards (IDB) (England and Wales only)
The Local Authority/Internal Drainage Board Licence (England and Wales only) provides full access to all MCM-Online content for multiple users (up to a maximum of 20 users) within the same organisation. This licence can be used internally only by the selected Local Authority/IDB users. Reference may be made publically to the license, but not to any of the content or data. This licence or any MCM-Online content must not be shared with any third-party individual or organisation for any purpose. This Licence is only valid for use in England and Wales.
Local Authority/Public Organisation (Other)
The Local Authority/Public Organisation Licence (other) provides full access to all MCM-Online content for multiple users (up to a maximum of 20 users) within the same organisation. This licence can be used internally only by the selected Local Authority/Public Organisation users. Reference may be made publically to the license, but not to any of the content or data. This licence or any MCM-Online content must not be shared with any third-party individual or organisation for any purpose.
Licences will be valid from the date of purchase to 30 April 2025.
